Bending, twisting
her skin moist with sweat
muscles swelling with intensity
Perched and balanced
breathing slow and rhythmic
sometimes, fast and ragged
Solid and fierce, yet supple
Bracing through the ground, then shifting
Each position testing
She stops resisting only to submit
Focused with her power
mind and body surrender
To the peaceful place within
(he knowsitall and counts 'em all too!)

Brian's right... take away the picture, and you can easily imagine something different with those words. Nicely done.

Wow, your 55 words describe the strain and rewards of exercising and stretching perfectly.
And I'd be honored to pray for your son, thanks for asking.
Regards,
Peter
Okay......looks like she and I have something in common. I too can touch my toes.
TIGER TEARS is my 55 this week.
If only...my yoga poses don't even remotely resemble that one! Love the feeling though of the stretch...the breathing...the meditative qualities. Nice capture.

I am so glad I came by

Family story -- my mother was quite capable of such contortions and when she was 8.5 months pregnant with me she put her right leg over her right shoulder and hooked it behind her head -- and almost immediately had a horrific seizure. She had to be taken to the doctor and given a relaxant to retrieve it!
